Acceptable Use Policy & Community Guidelines

Last updated: 11 October 2026. Effective: 11 October 2026 for new users.

If you had an account before this version was published, these Guidelines apply to you from the date given in the email we send you about the new Terms (Terms, A15.1).

These Guidelines are part of the Tribue Terms. They apply to every creator, brand, agency and client workspace, and to every person acting for one.

1. Why these rules exist

1.1 Tribue works only if brands can trust that views are real, and creators can trust that they will be paid. These rules protect both.

1.2 Every campaign brief shows its requirements before you join. A requirement that is not in the brief on Tribue cannot be used to reject your work. These Guidelines apply on top of the brief.

1.3 Section 6 sets out the consequences of breaking these rules, and is the complete list. How we decide, and how you contest a decision, is in our Content Moderation, Enforcement & Appeals Policy.

2. Creator conduct

2.1 Real views only. Do not buy, rent or trade views, likes, comments, shares, followers or other engagement. Do not use bots, scripts, click farms, engagement groups or automated playback, or inflate metrics in any other way. In many countries this is also illegal.

2.2 Your own content, your own account.

  • (a) Submit only content you created and posted from a social account you verified on Tribue.
  • (b) Do not repost, re-upload, screen-record or lightly edit someone else's video, including another creator's submission. Use third-party material, including music, only with a licence that covers paid brand use. A sound licensed for ordinary posts is not always licensed for advertising.
  • (c) Submit each post once. Do not submit the same post to more than one campaign unless both briefs allow it.

2.3 Disclose every paid post.

  • (a) Label every campaign post clearly as advertising from the first second or line. Use the platform's paid-partnership or branded-content tool and a plain label such as "#ad" or "Ad", or the local equivalent.
  • (b) Give your honest opinion. Do not make claims about the product that the brand has not given you and cannot support.
  • (c) If a brand asks you to hide the relationship, or to make a claim you cannot stand behind, tell us at support@tribue.io. We will not hold it against you.

If a campaign needs a specific disclosure, the brief states it before you submit.

2.4 Be who you say you are. Do not impersonate a person, brand or creator, or misstate your audience, location or identity. Do not run accounts for others. Do not open a new account to get around a restriction or ban.

2.5 Lawful content only. Do not submit or send content that is illegal where it is posted or where it is aimed, including:

  • child sexual abuse material;
  • terrorist content;
  • illegal hate speech;
  • threats and harassment;
  • doxxing;
  • non-consensual intimate imagery;
  • content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy or personality rights.

Adult sexual content, gore, and content promoting self-harm or eating disorders are also not allowed on campaigns.

2.6 Minors.

  • (a) You must be 18 or over to use Tribue.
  • (b) Do not feature a child in campaign content without the consent of their parent or guardian. Never feature a child in a sexualised, unsafe or exploitative way.
  • (c) Do not promote age-restricted products to an audience you know is mostly under the legal age.

2.7 Keep your post up. If you delete or hide a campaign post, it stops earning from then on. Money you have already been paid is never taken back.

2.8 Messages. Do not send spam or unsolicited promotion, harass anyone, or ask for personal data you do not need for a campaign. Keep payment for campaign work on Tribue (section 4).

3. Brand and agency conduct

3.1 Prohibited products. Do not run campaigns for:

  • products or services that are illegal where they are marketed;
  • products on Whop's prohibited-business list;
  • weapons and ammunition;
  • illegal drugs, or unauthorised medicines and pharmaceuticals;
  • counterfeits;
  • adult sexual services;
  • pyramid or Ponzi schemes;
  • "get rich quick" or false-earnings offers;
  • sanctioned persons or territories;
  • anything that needs a licence you do not hold.

3.2 Restricted products. These are allowed only on the conditions below:

  • alcohol;
  • gambling and betting;
  • tobacco, nicotine and vaping;
  • CBD;
  • dietary supplements, and health and medical claims;
  • financial products and crypto-assets;
  • dating;
  • political or issue content.

For these, you must:

  • (a) hold every licence or approval the law requires, such as a gambling licence in the target market or approval of UK financial promotions by an authorised person;
  • (b) state the restriction and required disclaimers in the brief;
  • (c) not target, or ask creators to target, audiences under the legal age;
  • (d) follow each social platform's branded-content rules for that category.

We may decline a restricted campaign.

3.3 Truthful claims.

  • (a) Every claim in your brief must be true, substantiated and lawful. You are responsible for the claims you give creators.
  • (b) Since 27 September 2026, EU law bans generic environmental claims ("eco-friendly", "green", "sustainable") without recognised excellent environmental performance, climate-neutral or reduced-impact claims based on offsetting, and sustainability labels not based on a certification scheme or set by public authorities. Do not ask creators to make such claims.
  • (c) Do not make positive sentiment a condition of payment. Do not ask for fake reviews or testimonials.

3.4 Disclosure. Require creators to disclose the commercial relationship. Never ask them to hide it.

3.5 Fair dealing with creators.

  • (a) State every requirement in the brief on Tribue before creators submit. Requirements given only off-platform cannot be enforced.
  • (b) Give a real reason with every rejection.
  • (c) Do not use creator content beyond the licence the campaign grants.
  • (d) Use creators' personal data only for that campaign.

3.6 No off-platform payment demands. Do not ask a creator you met on Tribue to take payment for campaign work outside Tribue, or to pay you anything outside Tribue, such as fees, deposits or "product costs". Payments outside Tribue have none of our protections.

4. Payment conduct (all users)

4.1 You must not:

  • (a) use stolen cards or accounts, or a card you are not authorised to use;
  • (b) file a chargeback without first contacting us at billing@tribue.io, or file one you know is unfounded;
  • (c) use Tribue or its prepaid campaign credits to launder money, evade sanctions or finance illegal activity;
  • (d) collude between brand and creator workspaces, or across your own workspaces, to cycle money or self-fund campaigns;
  • (e) give false identity, business or tax information to us or to Whop, our payment provider;
  • (f) open accounts for others, or let others use your payout account;
  • (g) breach the terms of our payment providers, including Whop's rules against payment fraud, chargeback abuse, money laundering, fake engagement, fake accounts, ban evasion and prohibited products.

5. Platform integrity (all users)

5.1 Do not scrape Tribue, probe or attack its systems, get around access controls or rate limits, or use API or MCP access beyond the scopes you granted.

6. Consequences

6.1 What we can do. Depending on how serious the breach is and whether it has happened before, we may:

  • warn you;
  • remove content or reject submissions;
  • restrict features;
  • suspend your account or workspace;
  • hold payouts while we review;
  • ban you permanently.

A serious breach can lead straight to a ban. Opening a new account to get around a ban is prohibited, and that account is banned too.

6.2 Consequences by breach.

6.3 Your protections.

  • Every consequence is proportionate to the breach.
  • A person at Tribue decides every action against an account.
  • Every decision comes with a statement of reasons (Content Moderation Policy, section 5).
  • Money already paid out to you is never taken back.
  • An action against your account never cancels amounts validated for your delivered work. They stay payable once any review ends. The only exception is evidenced fraud that produced those specific amounts, found within the settlement window. Even then, only unrealised amounts can be withheld.
